Ever thought about engaging in a research Project? Did you know…
Research Funding Opportunities
Applications will soon be open for General Practices to apply for funding to support research activity from the NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN). Two funding schemes are expected to open sometime in November 2025 for funding to start in 2026/27.
These are:
Research Delivery Infrastructure Funding
- General Practices and wider care settings will be able to apply for some infrastructure funding from the RDN to enable development of your research infrastructure. This will be open to organisations who are currently involved in delivery of NIHR research as well as those that are not currently active but are looking to start delivering NIHR research studies. (Further details will be shared when they are known)
NIHR Research Delivery Network Strategic Funding
- Applications will open in November for organisations (or groups of organisations) to apply for NIHR RDN strategic funding to support strategic initiatives and projects to increase capacity and capability in research aligned with RDN and local/national strategic initiatives – for example to support increasing reach and diversity of research.
Practices are able to apply for both pots of funding, which will be awarded as part of a competitive process in accordance with a national framework.
