This course gives some more in- depth information about prescriptions to underpin the work undertaken by prescription clerks.
Prescription clerks are the “gate keepers” of prescription issuing and so they should come away from the event with confidence in being able to identify and question inappropriate prescription requests. The event will also provide background information about prescriptions from who can write them to what Latin abbreviations are.
There will also be a focus on where information can be found on the SNEE website specifically prescribing policies, position statements, and drug formularies.
