  • Background & diagnosis of depression & anxiety including use of diagnostic tools
  • Risk assessments
  • Use of antidepressants including pharmacology, monitoring, common & red flag side effects and prescribing considerations
  • Use of ancillary medication in anxiety & depression
  • Physical health medications that can impact mental health
  • Case studies

By the end of the session participants will have an increased understanding of

  • Background and diagnosis of anxiety & depression
  • Pharmacology management of anxiety & depression using current NICE guidelines
  • Management of common side effects
