The training pathway will cover:
Directed pre-course reading (approximately 3 hours prior to the training dates)
Initial theory learning (12 hours, including 3 hours practical element)
A visit to colposcopy & the cytology laboratory - organised by the trainee
Undertake observed, directly supervised and unsupervised samples
A series of assessments and portfolio work
External assessment (provided by the training provider - Suffolk GP Federation
Submission of the completed training record (verified by the trainee, mentor, assessor and training provider)
