This annual update is a review of the theory and practice of childhood immunisation for those healthcare professional currently immunising or advising on routine childhood immunisations in their workplace.

Please note that this webinar only covers the childhood vaccines. To meet the UKHSA minimum requirements for your annual immunisation update you must also book onto the ‘Healthcare Professional Adult and Flu Vaccine Update Webinar’.
Course Content;
This 3 hour webinar covers childhood vaccines including:
• Review of the current childhood immunisation schedule and any changes to schedules
• Managing off-schedule childhood immunisations or those with unknown immunisation status
• Dealing with parental concerns
• Q & A session
Prior to giving any vaccinations, all registered and non-registered clinicians should undertake a comprehensive introductory training course and competency assessment whcih aligns to national standards. These courses are available on our website. (e-learning is available but it is recommended face to face or online interactive training is to be completed alongside e-learning.)
Following the introductory course, an annual update should be undertaken. (Please ensure you have completed the introductory course suitable for your role)
Please only book on this update course if you have first completed an appropriate Introduction to Immunisation course.
