This 4 hour webinar covers the medicines management type content required in the
annual update - consent, PGDs/PSDs, cold chain, safe and appropriate
administration of vaccines etc as well as the adult vaccines - flu (*), pneumococcal,
shingles, pertussis for pregnant women, tetanus and COVID-19.
We are aware that some immunisers give nasal flu vaccines in this webinar.
Anyone who gives routine childhood vaccines should also book the HCP Childhood Immunisation Update to meet UKHSA minium standards.
Prior to giving any vaccinations, all registered and non-registered clinicians should undertake a comprehensive introductory training course and competency assessment which aligns to national standards. (Immunisation training for HCAs (national standards) or Immunisation training for healthcare practitioners.)
These courses are available on our website. (e-learning is available but it is recommended face to face or online interactive training is to be completed alongside e-learning.)
Following the introductory course, an annual update should be undertaken. (Please ensure you have completed the introductory course suitable for your role)
Please only book on this update course if you have first completed an appropriate Introduction to Immunisation course.
