Diversity at the front desk

Course Content:-

A workshop that aims to strengthen reception staff confidence, skills, and cultural competence when interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds.

This includes communicating with patients where there are differences in ethnicity, language, disability, neurodiversity, gender identity etc.

The workshop will examine:

• How diversity shapes patient expectations, communication styles, and access needs Inclusive, trauma‑aware communication techniques.
• How to respond confidently to challenging or sensitive interactions.
• The use practical tools for working with interpreters, carers, and advocates.
