This two-day face-to-face training event is designed for aspiring GP educators across Tier 2A, 2B, and 3. It offers a rich blend of interactive sessions, practical exercises, and reflective discussions to support your development as a clinical supervisor and educator in primary care.
On Day 1, all tiers come together to explore key educational tools such as COTs, Audio-COTs, CEPS, and CBD/CATs. You'll engage in group activities to build rapport, share experiences, and deepen your understanding of urgent and unscheduled care, induction processes, and feedback techniques. The day also includes tier-specific tasks, such as reflective log writing and clinical case reviews, culminating in a collaborative feedback exercise and plenary.
Day 2 is tailored for Tier 2B and Tier 3 delegates, focusing on assessment and supervision. You'll reflect on your learning, review clinical supervisor reports, and participate in simulated consultation assessments. The afternoon includes small group work to prepare evidence for ESRs, discussions around the Educational Supervisor Review, and planning your Personal Development Plan. The event concludes with a final plenary to confirm next steps in your educator journey.
Throughout both days, you'll be supported by experienced facilitators and peers, with opportunities to ask questions, share insights, and build confidence in your role as a future GP educator.
